United Solo Festival 2021

I was honored to premiere the staged version of my show, I Feel the Need, at the 2021 United Solo Festival, off-Broadway, this past November.

Our timing was lucky! The Festival ran in that window when shows had opened back up in NYC, but prior to shutdowns in December 2021 due to the Omicron variant.

Audiences were ready to see shows! I sold out my first performance, on Wednesday evening, November 17th. It was a thrill to perform in front of a live audience and not on Zoom!

My director, Beth Bornstein Dunnington, won the Festival award for Best Direction! I called her in Hawaii to deliver the exciting news. It was a joy to work with her and I could not have created and performed my stories without her sage guidance.

What’s next? The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2022! I’ve been invited to perform I Feel the Need to audiences at the 75th Anniversary of the Fringe. I’m absolutely thrilled and I’ll have more details about dates and venue soon.
